COMBI-MAX

COMBI-MAX makes the photovoltaic installation independent from the main grid.
In the event of a power failure, COMBI-MAX activates the inverter’s island mode, preventing the loss of voltage in your installation and isolating it from the grid.

Description

COMBI-MAX monitors the presence of mains voltage at all times. If it detects that the grid disappears, COMBI-MAX automatically disconnects the installed loads (critical loads or the entire installation).

Once the circuit has been disconnected, COMBI-MAX sends the order to run in “island mode” to the inverter so that it can continue generating from the energy obtained from the panels and/or the batteries that may be installed.

At that time, the selected parts of the installation will again be supplied by the inverter, and the grid will remain physically disconnected. When the presence of the grid is detected again, COMBI-MAX withdraws the run command in “island mode” and reconnects the installation to the grid.

COMBI-MAX has a front light that indicates “normal” operation with one flash per second. In the event of a mains power failure, the pilot light will go out after the actions described above have been carried out.

There is also a push button for manually forcing the “island mode” of the installation.
