Differences between COMBI-MAX and COMBI-PRO-MAX

29 February, 2024
Summary

As you know, we have developed efficient and compact solutions to maintain the continuity of supply in photovoltaic installations in the event of main grid failure. But these types of installations are very different from each other. Which equipment is best suited to your needs? The differences between COMBI-MAX and COMBI-PRO-MAX are detailed below.

What solutions do COMBI-MAX and COMBI-PRO-MAX offer?

Until now, if the main electricity grid had an incident or suffered an outage, the photovoltaic installation stopped supplying the connected equipment. But Toscano has developed a range of equipment to be able to isolate the installation from the main grid and maintain the supply.

Both COMBI-MAX and COMBI-PRO-MAX are constantly monitoring the grid and when they detect an incident, they disconnect the self-consumption installation from the main grid and switch the inverter to island mode. This will allow the installation or critical loads, depending on the configuration applied, to continue to have voltage provided by the panels and/or batteries.

Main differences between COMBI-MAX and COMBI-PRO-MAX

Being both units totally compact, occupying only 4 modules in the case of COMBI-MAX and 5 modules for COMBI-PRO-MAX, the units have technical differences to take into account for your installation:
